Chiropractic is Spinal Health Preventative Maintenance
It’s one of the most common questions we hear in our office. Of course, no one has to go to the chiropractor forever. But if it makes you feel good and keeps your body and nervous system functioning well, why wouldn’t you?
I’ll work out over 300 times this year — six days a week — to help my body feel good and function properly. So, getting adjusted 26 or even 52 times a year to keep your body working and feeling its best really isn’t that much in comparison.
Every day for the past 21 years, I’ve had older patients tell me they wish they had taken better care of themselves. When someone is 75 with arthritis, chronic aches, and pains, there’s often a lot of work involved just to get them feeling better. How much better would it be to care for your spine while you’re still young?
In fact, studies show that 8 out of 10 children experience neck trauma during birth that could impact their spine.
And let’s not forget all the falls kids take. It’s estimated that if an adult fell as often as a one-year-old, they’d end up in the hospital.
Just like maintaining your car, visiting the dentist, or getting yearly physicals, it’s far better to maintain your body than to try to repair a damaged one. Take care of yourself now — because you only get one body. Treat it well.
