Happy Holidays - 5 tips for a healthy holiday season
Hey there, Dr. Fedich here from Village Family Clinic, I want to wish you a safe, happy, healthy holiday season. I wanted to just do a quick video to wish you happy holidays. Make sure we remember to take care of our health. So, one thing I want you to remember is the five factors of health. They're really simple. One, is to exercise during the holidays. Sometimes we forget our exercise routine, walking, going to the gym. Number two is to eat properly. This is a tough time of year, we're eating a lot of junk foods, drinking a little bit too much. We're trying to maintain our diet, eat healthily. The number three factor of health is to sleep. So a lot of times, we're running around, we're busy, not sleeping as much, you know, we really need six to eight hours of sleep for adults. Kids need a lot more. Number four is positive mental attitude. So it's a very stressful time of year and holidays are tough for some people, you know, family might not be around, etc. So we want to try to maintain our mental health as well. It's really possible. It's a very stressful time of year. So a lot of people get sick, we’re not eating right, we're skipping our exercises, we're stressed out. We end up getting sick during the holidays. And number five and most important is maintaining a properly functioning nervous system. So holidays are stressful, nervous, stressed out, people are stressed out. So maintaining your chiropractic care, keeping your nervous system under control, is really, really important. So, I know it's easy to skip appointments this time of year, we're all very busy, holiday parties, etc. But it's really important to maintain your spinal health, get adjusted every two weeks, and make sure we're keeping our nervous system functioning. So I hope you have a great, healthy, happy holiday season. We hope to see you in the office soon. And don't forget we're here to help your family and friends as well. So, if anyone has a family or friend at home, they could use our care, just have them give us a call or text. We love taking care of them as much as you, but I want to thank you for being a member of our practice. We had a great year. We couldn't be here without you.
